No no nailz, shields aren't useless they look cool, your post was useless.

Ahh, your post was rude too, and I don't think it's possible for a shield to be rude so in the decency and humanity department a shield has you at least two to zero.

shields protect you from an enemy hitting you from the front...that's pretty useless when you factor in the other off-hand items available.

looking cool doesn't make something usefull.

I didn't know people cared about warriors enough to send more than one person at them at a time

S'pose that healing ankh is good for when you need to maintain those mendings tho.

most PvP warriors I've seen play or played with use weapons that require two hands....and PvE a shield is useless

False.

Shields do decrease the melee dmg you suffer. A sword/axe warrior will use a shield, what's all this fuss about?

do you always fight your enemy with your back turned to them? that some kind of ninja style back fighting?

I always play the game solo...so yes my enemy is generally behind me and in front of me and to the side of me....

Yes.Shields are so useless.

Which Warrior would want a damage reducing health increasing shield when they can use a Idol/protective icon/etc for energy!

By the way, even though you're surrounded by enemies (probably, griffons and minotaurs in prophet's path, nothing new or unheard), the shield can still be a valuable friend. It protects you from the enemies in front of you and, with some limitations, even from the enemies on your side/s.

There's a sticky somewhere in which Sausaletus Rex explains how shields absorb the dmg, you might want to check it out.
